Oho’s Monthly Favorites - February 2023

Happy Wednesday! How is everyone?

Did you have the same month I did? If you did, I’ll just say it for both of us…wow, could not be happier to have February in the rearview mirror. Dedicating today’s favorites to the things that got me through the month of all months in one piece.

Oho Weekly Favorite No. 1 - Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

Despite rave reviews, I had been uninterested in picking up this book who’s cover led me to believe it was about an octopus (can you blame a girl?) until Meagan’s Book Club put it as her Number One book of 2022. That alone was enough endorsement for me to purchase the book but now about a hundred pages in, I can’t put it down (and yes, there is an octopus but now I’m emotionally attached to said octopus).

Life lessons that I am still learning - you really can’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Oho Weekly Favorite No. 2 - Legend by John Legend

After a hard day, my first impulse is to crawl into bed, turn on some bad TV and completely vegetable out for the evening but after nearly forty years of life, I know that, while fun, Bravo reality shows aren’t what fills my endurance cup. Some days I really just need to feel my feels and John Legend’s new(ish) album was the perfect soundtrack for that. Act II on vinyl if you want to get specific.

Oho Weekly Favorite No. 3 - J.Crew Classic-Fit Washed Cotton Poplin Shirt

The power of a hot shower + clean clothes should not be underestimated. My current power outfit is a freshly ironed white button-up, blue denim & cute shoes and the power of that combo to make an impossible day feel possible is not to be missed.

Three cheers for a fresh start. Happy month ahead, loves.
