ABOUT THE PROJECT

Some homes become a part of you and this project did that for us. Starting with the existing structure of a 100-year old Farmhouse that had an addition added more than 20 years ago, we were able to take this home down to it’s bare bones to build the walls back while speaking to the heritage of the home but gave new life for the young family that inhabits it. We focused on an infusion of natural materials that would age and patina over time - marble, unlacquered brass, stained & enameled woods, soapstone - paired with a color palette that was subdued but still packed a personality, giving a distinct nod to the historical element of the home in a fresh, updated way.
