PART-TIME DESIGN ASSISTANT / OFFICE ADMIN
(Minnesota-Based)
ABOUT THE POSITION:
OHO INTERIORS is seeking a creative, ambitious, collaborative Design Assistant/Office Admin to join our growing team! This role is a part-time (20 hrs/wk) position within Oho and is expected to remain part-time for the foreseeable future.
We are searching for a candidate who is a self-starter, highly organized, has a superb attention to detail, who can creatively problem-solve, and is eager to contribute to all facets of the design-process within a boutique studio environment. The ability to prioritize workload, and represent Oho well with our vendors & clients, along with a willingness to contribute to the functional needs of the office and Design Team with admin work as needed.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Requesting vendor pricing & quotes. Confirm product stock & lead times. Real time tracking of items on order, across 20+ active projects. Communicate and coordinate regularly with design team. Coordination of internal vendor databases, including setting up trade accounts, submitting necessary tax-exempt documents. Assisting our Procurement Coordinator with various expediting, receiving and inspection needs. Receive mail, studio packages in coordination with the Design Team. Management of Minneapolis office supplies & snacks. Packaging & mailing product. Errand running as needed, including returning and/or picking-up of office supplies, inventory and samples. Coordination of on-site meeting needs. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Candidate must have strong communication skills – vendor facing and firm facing – engaging with clients, vendors, showrooms, and a growing team. Ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business environment is crucial. Looking for a candidate excited to grow in their role within a boutique studio!
YOU ARE PERFECT FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU - - -
You are proficient in Google Sheets & current technologies (Dropbox, Slack, Keynote, etc).
You are extremely diligent in your attention to detail and love to live in spreadsheets.
You love design and are looking for a way to get a start in the industry.
You are hard-working and efficient with your time and able to meet critical internal and external deadlines.
You are someone with a proactive nature, great instincts and open to feedback.
You have an attitude of no job is too small or too big.
Pay & Location:
Pay Dependent on Experience. Location is primarily at Oho’s Studio is located in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis. Errands will take place typically within 30 minutes of the Twin Cities Metro.
