ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project was all about taking an 1950’s Saint Paul Rambler and bringing the home into the 21st Century for our clients, an active family of four. To honor the function of a young family, we infused durable, natural materials such as terracotta, zellige tile & granite, added charm and personality with millwork, color, wallpaper and a pretty special plaster wall treatment that allowed for light to move around the bathroom walls in such a special way. We mixed metals and created a dynamic design palette for each bathroom and then added softness with custom window treatments, a certain gingham shower curtain and custom bedding - even for the antique beds brought over from the family’s heritage farmhouse. The result was a home that feels lived-in and loved and perfect for the cozy nights ahead for this family.
